First, Rich, didn't you notice all the totally unnecessary crud at the top
of the message you sent? Didn't you notice that the subject of the message
didn't convey any information? If you are going to use digests, I suggest
you get a good "reply from digest" script or two. There are a couple on my
site that reply to the list or to the sender. See

As for your question: I believe -61 is a write permissions error. That
probably indicates that some file you are trying to work with has improper
permissions set. If you have OS X 10.1.x, download and run the free "Repair
Privileges" utility from Apple's OS X pages. If you have Jaguar, the utility
is built into "Disk Repair"; boot your installation CD and run Disk Repair,
and select Repair Privileges from the menu; run it on your system disk.

That will fix any basic permissions problems. But it won't fix files
belonging to applications. You may also have a permissions problem with your
OS X user identity trying to access your Entourage 2001 files. Since you are
probably going to throw away your 2001 files soon after importing them, just
set the permissions on all those files to read, write, execute for "others",
meaning everyone. Again, the method differs if you have Jaguar; just use Get
Info! For earlier OS X versions, you need to use a shareware utility such as
BatChmod or X-ray, or you can use the Unix utility chmod in the Terminal.
