Thanks for your response. Better to hear the problem is happening elsewhere
than to be continually gaslighted. I guess. Any time I go into the server
folders at all for any reason (to view, clean cache, whatever), Entourage
quits.

I haven't had luck deleting folders on the server and starting over either.
One thing though, I have a friend who's been using Entourage with an IMAP
account on his university server (different from mine) and he hasn't had
this same problem at all. So it's variable. As usual.

And yes, I also have trouble downloading messages. But I haven't' been able
to detect a pattern with respect to the particular messages that don't
download easily. One day it's one message, the next day it's another. Though
I've only been using the IMAP account for a week. I figure I'll get smarter
(and more frustrated) in the next couple of weeks.
