I can't seem to figure out why I'm unable to use Entourage with either the
SR-1 or 10.1.2 updates installed. There are error messages in the other
Office apps as well. I always get (in Word, PowerPoint) a "An unexpected
error occurred while trying to load the Microsoft Framework X library", or
(in Entourage) "Entourage cannot access your data. To attempt to fix the
problem, rebuild your database", but when I attempt either a simple or
complex rebuild, a "An error occurred while launching. [line break] Mail
error.".

I have tried deleting and reinstalling Office v.X directly from the CD (the
stock "drag a folder" install), and then applying the SR-1 or 10.1.2
updaters, and that doesn't work either.

I also have, after trying the above, added the step of deleting all the
*.plist files that are associated with Office applications and deleting
nearly all the "~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/*" files that are associated
with Office applications. I have repaired permissions and run the "Verify"
portion of Disk Utility, with no effect.

I have also made sure that Entourage was in "Work Offline" mode and with
"Office Notifications" off during each installation.

I keep my Microsoft User Data folder in a Documents folder which is located
in the root level of my boot drive. I.E. The same place that has the OS 9
System Folder and OS X System.

Other than that, I have a G4 AGP 350mhz, 704 MB RAM, 20 GB HD, OS X 10.2.1
(but also had this problem under OS X 10.1.5 when trying to update to both
SR-1 and 10.1.2).

I believe I'm overlooking something, because from everything I can tell, it
ought to work. Maybe someone can point out the error of my ways? :)
