iListen is a relatively specialized type of application that is much more tightly coupled to specific hardware and operating system characteristics than most. I don't think it is a good reference for general compatibility.
As far as which OS to run in terms of 9.0, 9.1, or 9.2, I think there were a number of bug fixes which would make 9.1 better than 9.0. Between 9.1 and 9.2 you could just check the release notes and see if there are any bug fixes or features that would be helpful. In my case, I do have one machine that is still at 9.1 as that is the highest officially supported OS for that machine. Seems to work just fine at that release. If 9.2 is not officially supported for your machine, I would not try to push beyond 9.1. -- Eric Hildum > From: Geoff Wallace <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: "Entourage:mac Talk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Wed, 27 Nov 2002 10:10:47 +1100 > To: "Entourage:mac Talk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: Word X - Entourage X combo? > > I was under the same impression that OS 9.2 was for Classic compatibility, > but I am a beta tester for iListen and we found that the changes introduced > in 9.1 and then again in 9.2.x made it difficult to have a product that > supported all OS 9 versions. -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
