You may have a small database corruption. Try rebuilding your database by quitting Entourage, and re-launching while holding down the OPTION key. Select "Normal Rebuild" and, if your email database is of any size, go take a leisurely coffee break (It could take up to 30 min. to rebuild). That should fix your problems. -- Hope This Helps!
