Of course, I still agree with you that a better solution is necessary. This is a temporary workaround. If someone with Outlook 2000 can (1) create a fresh Outlook profile, (2) install the Outlook holiday update from <http://microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=7D4D9017-8D4E-4963-8BA7-D2E91D491F5E&displaylang=en>, (3) insert it with all holidays and then (4) export it as a CSV file, and then (5) e-mail it directly to me (this address), I can see about making the file available to users.
If you want to let Microsoft know how you feel, feel free to do so. You can make the feature request under Help -> Send Feedback on Entourage or by clicking on this link:

I think the issue is that some of the holidays listed are no longer accurate. For example, in Japan Seijin no Hi no longer falls on January 15th, but on the closest Monday. This is the update that is required.

On the Entourage File menu, select “Import”. Click on “Holidays.”
If prompted to locate the holiday file, navigate to your Microsoft Offic X/Office/ folder, and select the “Holidays” file there. When prompted for region selection, don’t just pick “United States” or whatever country; if you want religious holidays you’ll need to check “Christian”, “Jewish”, or “Islamic” as well.

MS has posted Outlook Holiday update for 2003-2007. Does anyone know where to find same for Entourage X?
