Eudora holds its mail in plain text mailboxes, without any links to
contacts, little 'tertiary' information such as categories etc and does not
retain the full source of each message.

Entourage on the other hand, as well as the mail, keeps calendar, to-do,
notes and contacts in the database. Also, it is Unicode savvy, so mail can
be contained in each and evry language (this is the main reason why
Entourage searches are slower than Eudora's). Entourage also keeps the
attachments with the mails that sent them, and can carry out extensive
linking between messages, their replies, the contacts who sent them and a
variety of calendar information.

Apple mail I am sorry to say is a humble programme, and has much to be
humble about (with apologies to Sir Winston Churchill)
