As usual, Paul is correct and quite helpful (if Paul Berkowitz didn't exist,
someone would have to invent him--he's that important to the health of the
Entourage-using community!).

Indeed, I created the script on Jaguar, and tried to port it to OS 9,
ignorant of the implications....Thank you.

A couple of questions before I do anything with this script (such as submit
it somewhere):

a. is it useful to anyone except me?
b. is there an easier way to accomplish what I did?
c. is it appropriate to appropriate (sorry) someone else's code, if
acknowledged?
