Thanks for your help Diane,

I've only recently started to use the Junk Mail Filter, so I had no use for
the junk category before, and I renamed it. I think this is why I'm getting
an unconnected category attached to all junk mails. And I also think that it
is the only category you can't actually delete. If you just click on your
junk category, in the edit categories window, to highlight it, the waste bin
should be greyed out - if I'm right!

And I rebuilt the database just to make sure it wasn't something else
causing this problem.
