For what it's worth (which may not be much), IE 5.2.2 on my system with OS X
10.2.4 has become more unstable recently too. But in my case, it quits when
it is in the background when another "online" event occur. For example, if I
launch a link in Entourage, or mail arrives. It does not happen
consistently, and I don't think that Entourage is the cause, but I am
looking for a solution...

(I am not using Camino, but I do use Safari as an alternate (but not
default) browser.)
