First, by all means, get Paul B's Export-Import scripts. They will resolve 90% of your problems. This is the kind of thing they were made for. Second, about sent messages and CCs. Trying to remember to send yourself a CC is very unreliable. You might try setting up an Outgoing Rule to forward it to yourself. Or, make sure all your outgoing messages end up in Sent Items (don't use rules to distribute them to other folders); then, periodically, drag the folder to the desktop, get it to your other Macs 9by FTP, mail as attachment, ZIP disk, whatever) and drag it into the other copies of Entourage. You can set up each copy of Entourage with its own Sent Items folder plus two others, "Sent from Work" or "Sent from Home" or "Sent from iMac 1/2", that kind of thing. Or, you can just merge them, or use manually run Outgoing Rules to distribute them to folders in your "master" Mac. If you end up with duplicates, one of the "Delete duplicate messages" scripts will give a quick fix. > I'd love to get some advice about synchronizing the address book and saved > email on these different OS and Entourage versions, and adding my Palm m515 > (DateBk5) into this mix. On the PDA you can have only 15 or 16 categories each for tasks, events, memos, and contacts. Make sure you pre-define the ones you want on the PDA before syncing. If the category in Entourage does not exist on the PDA, when you sync it will become "Unfiled" on the PDA. Also, on the work computer with EvX, consider setting the Entourage conduit to either sync only a particular category, or sync all but a particular category. Set the categories of items accordingly. I set up a category "SYNC" that I assign to contacts I want to sync; by default, new contacts do not sync, which lets me freely store new short-term contacts without overloading my PDA. The other items, I sync everything. > 2. On iMac at home, relocate or remove the contacts from my prior job and > make sure the categories match the universal protocol I set up at work.
