In a reply to another message I offered a script to find and delete old contacts. I forgot! There is a more reliable and simpler way to do that task.
Open your Address Book. From the View menu, select Columns and then "Last Correspondence". This will add the date of last contact to the listing in the window. Now, click on that column, and it will sort your contacts by date of last contact. Be warned! This can take _LONG_ time, especially if your contacts number in the thousands. Once your listing is sorted, it is simple to find all the contacts who have never corresponded with you...or at least, never according to Entourage! I find that, for whatever reasons, a blank date field does not always mean I never corresponded with this person. I think sometimes records that are imported from older versions, or that go through a complex rebuild, lose their date information. All I know is that I have a good number of contacts who show up with a blank "Last Correspondence" field, when I know for certain that I have either sent or received mail with them. So, be careful when you go to delete "inactive" contacts! They may not be inactive after all. One thing you can be certain of, and that is, if there IS a date in the Last Correspondence field, then you definitely DID correspond with that contact. -- Allen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Scripts for OE and Entourage: <http://members.thinkaccess.net/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/Scripts/> Entourage questions: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
