Under system 10.2.6 with EntX (all updates/patches) - my wife was working (with Ent open) and Apple SW updater informed her that she needed to update QT. She dutifully did and she reports that after it "did its thinking" (installed) and then restarted she cannot open Entourage.
I am not so sure the two are related - however it is a pretty massive coincidence because I am unable to boot Entourage and rescue any of her email. (30,000 or so). She was working normally in Ent while QT downloaded. Entourage now gives an "unexpected end of file" error which it has never done before. Prior to the QT install and subsequent reboot it was working fine. I have tried both basic and advanced rebuilds to no avail. The advanced rebuild appears to finish and then it gives the "end of file error" immediately. Almost seems worse than the original. Any assistance or wise counsel on how to resurrect her email would go a long way to keeping me from sleeping on the couch due to our broken backup system that has been on the honey-do list for about 8 weeks.
