I have been trying to manage SPAM by using a Rule I created. The rule adds the sender's name to a group in my address book. thereafter, a different rule automatically deletes any mail which is incoming from an address that is a member of that group.
So, while it is a manual step to add someone to the group, is can be done easily enough from the Message->Apply Rule menu command. The question: does anybody know of a way that the members of a group can be edited? I now have several thousand names in the group and every so often I want to remove someone from the group that has been inadvertently added. The group can be sorted, but it is a challenge sometimes to find someone. I would like to be able to use a database or a text editor to manage those names but they seem stuck there. Also, my second rule (the automatic one) doesn't seem to operate with any degree of consistency, even though it is at the very top of my Rules list. Addresses that are in the group should result in the mail being deleted, but they slip through. Any ideas why? Could it be that the Junk Mail filter acts before the rules do? thanks in advance Dennis Burnham -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
