I thought I was so smart last night when I attempted to download the Palm conduits and saw that I first needed the 10.1.2 updater. But the URL above led me to a 10.1.3 updater - so I'm grateful for the tip. I've just been so surprised how seamlessly the entire installation process was - had to put a larger hard drive and more memory into the old iMac (they were 4 GB and 64 MB). Then had to install OS X, port over all of my old software into Classic, then install Office V X and then - surprise of surprises - everything including Palm Sync - worked. What a pleasure using this iMac is compared to a much newer PC I have to use at work. I haven't had one kernel panic in 5 days of using OS X. For people who remain dissatisfied with OS X, allow me to recommend Windows 98. But at least Win 98 is timely - it crashes regularly 3 times per 8 hour day for me. Made my 6 year old StarMax look good. So, even though I'm too much of a realist to expect truly trouble free computing, so far I'm impressed with the modern era. -- Bruce ____________________________________________________ B R U C E K. -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
