I have a 56K modem (yes, at some point, I'll graduate). Went to change my ISP. Their website offered Hi speed access. Followed by a notice that it wasn't available for Macs. Doe anyone know of a good and inexpensive ISP that offers High speed modem access that works with Macs? Thanks.

It probably does work for Macs - they just don't know how to give you installation help. There are many, many ISPs who will do high-speed broadband with Mac support. Probably the best-known national ISP which does so is Earthlink (www.earthlink.net). Even Verizon, if they do the phones in your area, will do Mac now. Any ISP which offers DSL broadband must have an arrangement with your phone company (legally the phone company must provide this service), so try them next. If they "don't support Macs", try Earthlink or any ISP you find locally in the yellow pages - some of them will do Mac support while using the local phone company's infrastructure by arrangement.

Then there are the cable companies. If you already have TV cable, ask them too.

Your life will change.
