Importing address into v.X

Title: Importing address into v.X

I also had a seamless time installing v.X, importing my large databases from ‘rage2001, upgrading the version, installing the conduits, and synching with my Palm. ...and X is better. Bravo, Microsoft dev team!

HOWEVER:
For some strange reason, only some of the e-mail addresses imported from my 2001 address book are on the selection list when I compose and send e-mail. The only solution I have found is to go to the v.X address book, open the contact in question, and save. Only at that point does the e-mail address show up in the send selection window.
Why did this happen?
Does anyone have a script that will do that for my 900+ contacts?
