I haven't tested this and it's not pretty, but it should work. 1. Drag the message to a local folder, one under "On My Computer" 2. Delete the original message from the IMAP account 3. Edit the copy you dragged to the local folder 4. Drag the edited message back up to your IMAP account 5. Delete the local copy
-----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dean Suhr Sent: Wednesday, September 10, 2003 5:24 PM To: Entourage:mac Talk Subject: Permanently Editing IMAP Messages I occasionally receive messages that I want to edit before filing (usually to change the subject to something meaningful). E'rage does this fine for POP messages but seems to choke on doing this for IMAP messages. It changes the local copy of the message but not the server copy. If the cache is ever cleared, the message moved, or who knows what then the changes are lost. Is there a work-around for IMAP messages? Edit then redirect to self redirects the unedited message. And forward loses the original sender information. Any ideas?
