The 'MRU' list (Most Recently Used) is populated from the addresses of mail you have recently received or sent to. In Office vX, there is a preference to delete the list in it's entirety. In Office 2001 and Office vX you can remove a single address by adding it to your address book, then deleting it. Easiest way to add an address to the address book is to start an email, let the MRU suggest a name, accept it, then right click on the address entry in the message window and select 'add to address book.I have a weird oddity that occurs when I open a new mail message and type the first few letters of a contact. Up pops a list of possible matches from the address book. However some of these contacts I have never heard of or seen before. When I try to open the adress book proper and remove these bogus contacts surprise they do not exist there no mater how hard or where I search for them in the address book even using custom views.
So my deduction is they are somehow related to the spam I get or bugs or viruses of some kind As I have a mac they dont seem to be upsetting my system but they are anoying me and concern me as to how they got there. Any one have a clue or have experienced this problem. Cheers Blake
