Title: Strange repeating pause in sending Entourage X email
For the last week, I've had a new strange problem arise when using Entourage X (version 10.1.4). It started appearing before upgrading to OS 10.2.8. This problem is happening on my 933Mhz Powermac, which has 1.2Gigs of RAM.

The problem: when I send an email, the email sits in the outbox for about 20 seconds, and I get the spinning ball of death and the rest of Entourage becomes blocked from any other use (i.e., I can't click on anything else, write another email, etc). I can click out and work in other programs, but going back into Entourage gets the spinning ball again, and that stays until the message finally gets sent (and then the SBOD disappears).

The solution that temporarily works: toss the com.microsoft.Entourage.plist file (~/Library/Preferences). This fixes things completely. But a couple days later, the exact problem surfaces again.

I have a G4 12" Powerbook also on the same fast Cable broadband connection, and this Entourage problem has not shown up on it. I gather from this that it's not a Network problem, but an internal one to my  933.

Between each reoccurrence of glitches, I have

 -- Run DiskWarrior
 -- Run Disk Utility
-- Run the application called Cocktail: run its "cron" scripts, as well as delete all three "Caches" (both of which are found in their respective tabs there in Cocktail).
-- Done both a Regular and Advanced rebuild of my database.

Any other ideas?
