Lindsley, The assumption here is that you don't already have 9.2 installed. What you may have missed is that, in essence, 9.2 is not part of the standard Panther distribution. Since most normal apps now run natively in OSX, Apple is no longer assuming that the average customer needs Classic compatibility. But if you are one of the few who still do...and you don't have 9.2 from a previous situation, this is the mechanism by which you can acquire it. Clear?
