I typed the subject line from memory, so this might not get threaded correctly.
Anyway, I don't have a fix for that AppleScript we were testing a couple of weeks ago. But I just discovered that the script is not really needed. Try this in Safari: make a text selection and then type command-shift-l (that's a lower case L). Google will search for the selected text, and display the results in a new browser window. In fact, I suspect that in Panther this feature will work from any Cocoa application that allows text selection. It's one of the standard interapplication services. You can also execute it from <Application menu> -> Services -> Search with Google. Forgive me for wasting bandwidth if someone else already reported this. Services are among the hidden jewels of Mac OS X. Try this one: in Safari 1.1 you can select all or part of a web page, and then choose <Application menu> -> Services -> TextEdit -> New Window Containing Selection. This lets you quickly create a file containing only the desired parts of that web page. The layout may get hosed, but you can save styled text, graphics, and clickable links, while editing out the banner ads, etc. -- Julian Vrieslander <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
