I downloaded the trial version of SpamSieve and, with a couple minor hiccups, it's working well. I'm likely to purchase the program, if it continues to behave well.
That said, I've grown to like Entourage's "NewMail" sound in the "Default Set" (I'm using EvX 10.1.4). I would very much like to add this sound to the OS X system alert sounds so I can tell SpamSieve to use this as its new mail notification sound. Unfortunately, I've been unsuccessful so far. I gather the default sounds are actually stored in the Entourage executable. I downloaded the "Entourage Default" sound set from http://www.soundsetcentral.com/, then used Expression X to extract the individual sounds, but I can't figure out how to convert them to a format that SpamSieve likes. When I double-click on the extracted sound, it launches iTunes, and plays correctly. But when I try to convert the sound file to AIFF, the converter software is unhappy with the sound file format. Has anyone tried this? I'd really like to have my "old" New Mail sound back! Thanks!
