Two ways to change it ...
1 Drag an address to the desktop to give a bookmark. Select and "Get Info"
Hit the Open With option and select Safari. Finally hit the channge all
button (or whatever it says - I'm using Panther on this machine)
The alternative, also known as 2: Download the prefpane "More Internet" (Macupdate.com, versiontracker or whichever you prefer) and select the http helper to be Safari
