Go to your System Preferences Universal Access pane and click the Switch to Black on White button. The key combination to make this switch is Command-Option-Control-8, and it must have been pressed when you put the carton on your keyboard.

Hello,
I'm running OS X.2.5 and I have a negative problem. This is not an Entourage problem, but my engineer is on holiday until next week so I'm wondering if anyone on this list can help.
My screen has suddenly reversed itself and is showing everything in black and white negative; the photo I use on my desktop looks like a black and white negative instead of a full-colour positive. And everything else looks that way too, in the Finder and in my other applications.
Possibilities: Yesterday I was fiddling with Displays to show photos on my TV. Today I was clearing my desk and put a carton on my external keyboard; that might have set off some arcane key combination. Or it's just a late visit to Scotland from the Ghost of Christmas Past.
Any help most welcome. (And thanks for the fascinating discussion on the US reaction to the use of certain words.)
Thanks,
Walt
