Also, do keep in mind that the Mailing List Manager has an action to "Run AppleScript". Go to Tools -> Mailing List Manager, open a mailing list, and click the "Advanced" tab. Under "Actions on list messages," you'll find the action to "Run AppleScript." The script will then be run on list messages as they're being filed, not after.
