Title: getting rid of those silly email backgrounds
I'm starting to get a lot more emails from folks who include a background decorative jpg/gif, such as the "spiral notebook down the left side" image, along with many others.
I have no problem with HTML emails (meaning bolded/italic text; I actually like them), but these background images have a strange twist: when hitting Command-R to respond back to the person, the image gets attached, which is something I don't want to do. Many times the image gets in the way of the text, making it hard to read my own typing.
Has anyone figured out a way to get rid of these? I could imagine that there would be at least two ways: 1. some pref in Entourage that says "dont' include images when replying to email" or 2. some AppleScript that automatically deletes any jpg/gif below about 8K in size (since no one sends an actual picture below that size.
Any thoughts? Am I the only one bugged by these things?
