Just wondering if anybody has figured out any workarounds (besides Cmd-~)
for the spastic window activation of Entourage under Panther.
Today has been worse than usual for me. I usually read mail in the "Preview
pane", so the only time I open individual messages is when I'm composing.
If I click away from Entourage then re-activate, the Main Window barges back
to the front. One Cmd-~ and I'm back in business.
Today, I've been using the list view, hitting Return to read a message.
When I finish the message, I usually hit the Delete key on the keyboard,
which works fine. However, if I happen to have the Main Window in front
with the message window open behind the browser (with the item selected in
the list) and I hit delete, here's what happens:
- The message window pops back to the front.
- It vanishes as the message is deleted
- The Main Window activates momentarily
- The Main Window deactivates, and Entourage has no active windows.
I know a new major revision is in the works, so please, please don't let
this still happen after the update!
