Thanks very much, Diane, for a comprehensive answer.  It sounds like if I
keep using the group address, it's "messaging frequency" will eventually
overtake that of the one-person address, and the default will switch back.

I could add a character that is not in the individual name to the group
name;  then sending would involve typing 3 letters (rather than two), then
hit return...
