To the first one, I think it might be very much worth your while checking when Entourage 2004 comes out. It's just the sort of thing that they might be able to fix. If anyone here did know the answer now, they're not allowed to say so, of course. The next question (2A) - yes, of course there's a workaround or two. Best is to make a few rules with the right criteria so that all the actions, including running the script and dong the other actions derived form other rules, all appear in one rule. Then you can do what you want. It might involve making quite a few combo rules for different criteria. > > Question Three: If no one knows the answer to the previous question, can > anyone tell me the correct address to beg, plead, scream, kick my feet and > hold my breath (politely, of course) in order to request this feature change > before I have to suffer another three years of frustrating, inexplicable, > limiting behavior? No on knows, and if they did, they couldn't say. And it's not MS who took it away, it's Apple. They changed the whole system of sounds in OS X. > > Another Related Question: Does anyone know if MS plans to add the option > within a rule to *immediately* send a forwarded, redirected or reply to a > message, rather than merely dropping it in the Outbox and relying on > schedules to send? Yes, I know I can script this, but that brings us back to > question/problem one. No, it doesn't. If you can script, then simply put all the actions, all the various conditions, into the script. The sort of actions that are accomplished by Rules are very simple actions to script. Put it all into the single script, and Bob's your irritable uncle. > > Frustratingly Yours > > Frederico I don't suppose you're the Frederico (also no surname) who used to give lots of excellent advice on the Apple discussion boards about 5 years ago?
