Dan, you're absolutely right. It's all due to the firewall in the router an not in the 
system. I'll try to find a pdf-manual whan I get home from work and mail that to you 
off list.

I think Carsten's router's firewall is the culprit. He will need to forward
the iChat AV ports through his router's firewall, which he tried but
apparently didn't do correctly.

Carsten, the router firewall may require that you use a static IP address on
your computer to which the forwarded ports can be assigned. If your ISP uses
DHCP, you will need to configure the router's firewall to connect to the
internet with DHCP, then use manual IP settings (or DHCP with manual IP) on
your computer, and then map the required ports to your computer's IP.

I am not familiar with Trendnet firewalls or I'd be more specific. If you
can send me a PDF manual or link offlist or something I could try to figure
it out.
