Place the Microsoft User Data folder in the User's Documents folder. When you start up Entourage X, it should find the old 2001 identity folder with no problem. If not just navigate to the folder. If you have purchased an upgrade Office X, it will ask you to locate the 2001 copy of Office. You will need to insert the CD to verify you have the original. No need to actually install. Be sure to upgrade.
