Here are a few snafus I've experienced:

1.  Download all your IMAP mail before upgrading and delete it from
the server - otherwise it E'Rage 2004 will import duplicates.
2.  Import rules, but then check each rule to make sure any folders
used within the rules are correct.  For me, the imported rules were in
tact with the exception of folders.  Every single folder was incorrect
or lost.
3.  If you use Exchange Server, don't copy (CC) yourself on
messages... otherwise E'Rage sends out duplicates to all recipients,
not just you.  I'm looking into this -- has this happened to anyone
else?
4.  After running the Office 2004 installer, repair all permissions
and run Disk Warrior.
