Can't speak for David, but I don't have either of the CRL Cache files anywhere which I why I asked if they were new to Office 2004? What do they contain?
Let's forget about these. ;-) I just checked, and the modification dates are Dec. 2 and 3, 2003. Barry and I are both beta-testers. It looks like these files may have had something to do with beta builds but not the final release...
CRL = Certificate Revocation List which is used for tracking certificates that have been revoked. It may be related to what certs you have on your machines (for SMIME), or just timing of when these are downloaded.
