I have the Sprint version, it is CDMA.  My brother and g-friend both were on
ATT.  All of a sudden then could not get service anywhere at all.  The had
to go out and get new sprint phones that were on GSM, which cost them some
money.  In general, I would say they get about 10% better signal on average
than I do on Sprint.  Granted, your location may vary.  Sprint will not be
going GSM, so the only real bummer is that Nokia is so damn touchy about
CDMA so they make but only a few CDMA phones, this is supposed to change.  I
would not say one format is better than the other, Sprint is not going
anywhere, and they seem to think CDMA is going to bring them into the
future.   I am sure they feel relatively safe in that decision.
