I can see his point, it does not affect me at all, I do not use the other
Office products. To me it makes sense that cmd-delete kills the message, it
sort of does this in the OS X finder as well. At the same time, while I can
see the point you were making with the 1:6,000,000 ratio, I also have to
assume that literally only a few hundred of those 6,000,000 users are on
this mailing list. One in a few hundred is a different matter. Those not
on this mailing list just complain to each other, complain around the
office, and on occasion complain in a review online or in a magazine. I
guess what I am getting at here is that I see enough cases on this list to
remember, where someone points out that the issue at hand is only the
problem of one or few. I just don't think this would hold water if all
6,000,000 users were subscribed to this list. And yes, I know there are not
/really/ 6 million users, Jud is probably already shuddering at the thought
of a list that size :-)

I posted a thread where I was really bummed about the font smoothing issue
and monaco the first day E-rage was out. I was promptly greeted with a few
emails that more or less told me to deal with it. A few days went buy, and
a few people posted in agreement with me that they also were not liking the
change, I would say about 10 people contacted me off list and asked how I
worked around it. I personally know quite a few more people who as soon as
they upgrade will take issue. Again, a case where I was more or less
thought of as being a little too picky about something, ended up with an
average of I would say about 20 or so people who did not like the change,
that number is rather high considering the relatively low count of people on
this list.

Sorry to go a little OT, I just think this list is not a good way to judge
the overall consensus of any given feature, bug, annoyance etc.
