Since the person you had replied to was not me, clearly it's not "one person" -- in fact, there have been several people who have agreed in the other thread that the current behavior is off kilter. And just because most folks accept it the way that it is doesn't make it "right" -- they may not even know that you can command-delete in Word. They may not be professional writers, or folks who need that sort of flexibility or speed while working with text. So they won't notice that a common Office command key combo is inconsistent -- destructively inconsistent. But those of us who do notice -- who have been impacted by this glaring inconsistency in what is supposed to be a SUITE of programs, not just four bundled programs -- have often been bitten by this thing. > > Also Dave Cortright from macBU has said on this list that they will > reconsider this issue. What more do you want? How about non-adversarial responses? When people raise issues, your goal should be to address them -- NOT to defend the program. Addressing them doesn't mean changing the program, but it does mean being a lot more like Paul Berkowitz, whose help I am extremely grateful for, and a lot less like someone trying to play religious apologete.
