I am trying to see if it is possible to use Entourage for more than just email, i.e. As my contact and agenda manager. Obviously Entourage can perform these tasks. But I am still trying to find some comprable features in Entourage before switching.
The obvious problems is importing data from Palm Desktop 4 into Entourage; Unbelievable there is still no option to do so in E-2004. The text import file approach is pretty average and leaves all sorts of stuff to clean up. Printing from Entourage is also limited compared to Palm (or actually the old Claris Organizer). For example, I can't see any means of printing an envelope directly from E-2004. Doing so via Word seems incredibly laborious compared to Palm. Also it seems difficult if not impossible to print address books other than those formatted into E-2004 (which don't match my palm layout). A neat feature of Palm is the auto-complete function when creating contacts. Is there anything comparable in E-2004 (couldn't find anything in HELP). Finally, if I did make the move and decided to move over but still needed Palm's printing capabilities, is there a sync script to keep Palm in sync with my entourage contact list? These are just first thoughts about how I can shift over to entourage, which is clearly a more complex and complete product - yet doesn't apparently seem to meet these simple requirements. Many thanks for steering me in the right direction Laz -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
