I tried to backup (not archive) a small project from the Project Center,
consisting of about 25 email messages and one Word document. All the
documents together are about 100 KB in size. Here's the results:
- Entourage creates a 13MB file
- While it's trying to backup, Entourage consumes just over 50% of the CPU
on a dual 1.8 G5. This was measured with Activity Monitor
- After about 7 minutes, Activity Monitor indicates that Entourage has
hung. At this time the processor usage is reported as 96%.
I stopped Entourage with the Activity Monitor, and ran a database integrity
check. Everything seems fine, except the backup never worked.
Has anyone else seen this, or has anyone seen good results?
