Hi

An ongoing problem I've had with Entourage (X and 2004) (and or my ISP) is
that I always get an error message when trying to send email to someone with
the same ISP as me. Normally entourage refuses to send saying recipient
unknown and giving a -17099 error. When I send it via another SMTP server
(via another ISP) the message goes out but then I get an error message back
from the original ISP (our common one) that says

Reporting-MTA: dns; mail.netspace.net.au
Arrival-Date: Tue, 8 Jun 2004 22:02:03 +1000 (EST)

Final-Recipient: rfc822; [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Action: failed
Status: 5.0.0
Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; host extmail.bigpond.com[144.135.25.8] said: 550
recipient <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> unknown (in reply to RCPT TO command)

Where the common ISP is bigpond.com

I saw somewhere on the list that it could have something to do with needing
SMTP authentication but my ISP says it does not support this method.

Can anybody shed some light on this annoying problem. Annoying because
bigpond is Australia's major ISP provider and there are many people using
its email.

Thanks
