OK, I stand corrected ;-)  I was under the impression that Panther did this
at the OS level, not the app level (even for app-specific shortcuts). I
wonder what happens when you set up an app-specific shortcut for an app that
doesn't use XML preference files... Guess I need to do some more homework on
this topic!
