Removing the 77 fonts solved the problem for me.
Only a few of the 77 fonts cause an appearance problem for me: "Cooper
Black" and one (or more?) of the 8 fonts that don't show up in Font Book.
Because you've inquired, I just added back some (68) of the 77 fonts - those
that I know don't result in the appearance problem in one specific program;
the 68 that I loaded back are all of the fonts that _appear_ in Font Book -
except for "Cooper Black" . (I didn't load any of the 8 "Windows TrueType"
fonts that don't appear in Font Book.)
Note: I have no idea whether any of these 68 fonts might result in an
appearance problem in some other program. Let's hope I remember them if I
see a font appearance problem in some program in the future.
