Tcpflow has option to just record traffic for a particular domain, or on a
particular port etc., so it is easy to filter out anything else that is
going on.
OK, I’ll give it a try next time I have a day like yesterday, when this error came up four or five times. I suspect that it will ultimately be a simple server overload, so it won’t hurt to present documentary evidence, for what good that will do.
One more thing: The Entourage error message offers me a chance to re-enter my password. I think someone has already mentioned on this list the confusion this can cause in cases where the cause really is a server overload and one’s password is still perfectly valid. If there’s any way Entourage can discriminate between a general unavailability of the server and a specific rejection of one’s password by the server, it really ought to do so. (Sorry if this issue has already been beaten to death...)
Thanks,
Henry
