Go to www.tinyURL.com for how it works; it actually can work with any style of URL, like http:// or ftp//: or mailto:; I just happened to use the AppleScript:// URL type. (See <http://www.apple.com/applescript/scripteditor/12.html> for information about that.) You copy a script to your clipboard. Then, you run the "Make tinyURL" script that the link gave you. The result is a new tinyURL that you can paste into a mail message or on a web page, and people can click and suck up your script.
