Title: Rule or script needed for spam?
There is a type of spam that routinely gets by the E ’04 junk mail filter set on High. These messages are sent to me, but someone else’s name appears before my email address. For example, “John Smith”<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. I would like to set up a rule that acts when all the following are true:
  • Recipient contains “[EMAIL PROTECTED]”
  • Recipient does not start with “Bruce K”
  • Recipient contains any (other) name before email address

Given the way rules handle “starts with”, this does not appear to be possible. But since I am a recipient on the vast majority of non mailing-list emails, an AppleScript to filter these messages would have to run on virtually every message that is not from a list. (I’d like to avoid running a script so much, or I might as well use a Bayesian filter).

Has anyone successfully resolved this issue?
