Hello,

I have a customer using Entourage on Mac OS X that can't send email through out servers. I'm pretty sure they aren't using the latest version; I think they're using Entourage X. They can check email just fine (IMAP/POP within SSL), but sending gives them this error:

The SMTP server for "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" does not recognize any of the authentication methods supported by Entourage. To send mail, try disabling SMTP authentication in the account settings or talk to your administrator.

Our SMTP servers require plaintext SMTP AUTH (PLAIN and LOGIN are sent) within a STARTTLS connection on port 25. The server doesn't advertise AUTH until after TLS has been set up. Does anyone know if Entourage supports this configuration?

Thanks,
Josh
