For example, press the Mouse in the 3:00 pm box and, still depressing the mouse, drag it continuously down through 3:00 - 3:30 - 4:00. Then release it. You now have a 1 1/2 time slot selected, from 3:00 - 4:30. NOW double-click within that selected area, and the event window that opens will be set to start at 3:00 and end at 4:30.
