The settings have always worked the way *I* expected them to so I never had
much reason to look at exactly how the Energy Saver System Preference panel
phrases things but ...

It really should say "Put the display to sleep when the mouse and keyboard
is inactive for 2 minutes"

On the other hand, for computer sleep, any CPU "user" activity resets the
timer. Since I run various servers including a mail server, I have mine set
to "never" but that does make me wonder if all these servers, started at
system startup, not by user login, count as activity to prevent the computer
from going to sleep (with Unix under the hood, there's plenty of other OS
system activity that clearly does not prevent sleep as demonstrated on my
iBook and other desktop Mac which is now my test system - another thing to
test at some point).
