Mickey, As a "fallback", I have sent some mail using other SMTP servers, as you describe. The problem, of course, is that the mail "appears" to be coming from the wrong place, should anyone or any software look at the e-mail headers. Besides, this configuration *worked properly* in EvX. For Diane et al., I double checked my account settings with my ISP, and they are correct. I've done considerable research on the Internet, looking for answers. I did find one news thread from four months or so ago, where folks seem to have confirmed that Entourage 2004 does not work with some ISPs when using SSL authentication to SEND messages. The symptom is "Error 111", when the send operation times out, apparently during the SSL negotiation. Can anyone shed additional light? Jud?
