THANKS for the replies... Am I glad I signed up to this list! ..yes, my time zone was wacko (having simultaneously purchased an ipod, I presumed its 'nearest' time zone of Brisbane was right for Sydney - a foolish assumption!)
Also, The 'rebuild' database option fixed a lot of messed up diary stuff Although I still have a couple of mysterious blocks of appointment Bearing no details and won't delete.
